Our weekend in the hospital...

Isaac looking pretty happy for all that he was having to go through.

Friday  around 11 or 12 in the afternoon Isaac had a temperature of 102.4, he didn't seem to have any other symptoms other then being very fussy. So I called his doctor and got an appointment to bring him in later that afternoon.

I picked Jacob up early from work and we all headed over to the doctor. They checked his weight, (12lbs 9oz) and the other normal things they always check, they also checked his blood. They were worried that it might be a bacterial infection so they sent us to the ER so they could run more tests.
They took a urine sample and they tried to do a spinal tap 3 times but couldn't get any fluid. They did however, find some bacteria in his urine so went ahead and put him on IV antibiotics and said we would have to stay at least 48 hours to see what the cultures would reveal.
We found out that he just had an urinary tract infection, of course it is pretty rare for a little boy to have a UTI so we had to stay 1 more night so that they could do a sonogram and then a dye test to see if there was something anatomically incorrect that may need to be fixed.
Every test came out normal and we were released to go home by Monday afternoon!

I am so thankful to be home with my 2 healthy little boys!

Also, about an hour ago we felt the 5.9 earthquake! That was amazing! I was putting Luke down for his nap and the whole house started to shake, the cribs were rocking up against the walls, but there was no damage done.

Well, it's time for me to get to work now.

Forget about "bed head" Mr. Luke has got him some bag head goin' on!

  2. Aw, poor little guy! Did he scream for the spinal taps?? We spent a day in the ER this past weekend as well with our 5 yr old who broke his arm. The putting in of the IV was the worst part ever. They poked him 3 times and it looked so painful! So glad your little one is home & all is well!
