Surprise...

Last week (Sep 29th) was Jacob's 25th birthday! I had planned a surprise quarter themed birthday party for him, which turned out pretty good despite the fact that he found out about it the morning of.
The day of the party he tried to stay home from work, and I ended up just telling him he needed to go to work so I could work on his party. Even though it wasn't a surprise when he got home, I think it was even better because he was just so happy and excited about it all day !
It was just a small party with a few close friends and family.
We had Chick-Fil-A chicken, beans and mac & cheese. The cake was made by Erin, I asked if she could make a cake that look like a quarter and she did a Wonderful job!! Not only did it look great, it tasted amazing!!
Anyways, Jacob said it was the best birthday ever!

In other news Jacob and I started a diet last Monday. We are doing South Beach. And let me just stop right here and tell you, I have never been on a "real diet" before. I used to be able to eat whatever, whenever and how much ever I wanted. Haha, and then I had kids... Poor Jacob, I have been so grumpy, but then again so has he!
My goal weight is to be what I was when Jacob and I first met 140lbs and a size 2/4! I've got a long way to go... I need to lose about 30lbs, yes I know I just told everyone how much I weigh but as long as I don't look completely ugly I'm okay with that! So far I've lost 3lbs and Jacob's lost about 7lbs. I'm in a much better mood today thanks to this yummy low carb dish!

I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Thursday!
I'll leave y'all now to some awesome music...

This is Birdy, a 15 year old girl with an amazing voice!!
I just found her today and I can't stop listening. Enjoy!

A Fly By Pooping?

Our new dining room is more or less like a sun room, in other words surrounded by windows.
The other day while feeding Luke I noticed this...

I was pretty annoyed when I first saw this "fly by" on what I assumed was the outside of the window. The only way to clean these windows are to set up a ladder on uneven ground, so trust me I was not to happy.
Then today while vacuuming/moping I realized that what I assumed was poop was somehow only peanut butter! And boy was I happy and rather amused! I can only imagine how it got there to begin with!

And so, today I am Thankful for Peanut Butter....

Our weekend in the hospital...

Isaac looking pretty happy for all that he was having to go through.

Friday  around 11 or 12 in the afternoon Isaac had a temperature of 102.4, he didn't seem to have any other symptoms other then being very fussy. So I called his doctor and got an appointment to bring him in later that afternoon.

I picked Jacob up early from work and we all headed over to the doctor. They checked his weight, (12lbs 9oz) and the other normal things they always check, they also checked his blood. They were worried that it might be a bacterial infection so they sent us to the ER so they could run more tests.
They took a urine sample and they tried to do a spinal tap 3 times but couldn't get any fluid. They did however, find some bacteria in his urine so went ahead and put him on IV antibiotics and said we would have to stay at least 48 hours to see what the cultures would reveal.
We found out that he just had an urinary tract infection, of course it is pretty rare for a little boy to have a UTI so we had to stay 1 more night so that they could do a sonogram and then a dye test to see if there was something anatomically incorrect that may need to be fixed.
Every test came out normal and we were released to go home by Monday afternoon!

I am so thankful to be home with my 2 healthy little boys!

Also, about an hour ago we felt the 5.9 earthquake! That was amazing! I was putting Luke down for his nap and the whole house started to shake, the cribs were rocking up against the walls, but there was no damage done.

Well, it's time for me to get to work now.

Forget about "bed head" Mr. Luke has got him some bag head goin' on!

1 Month Old Today

Isaac Law Hezekiah
Was born at home 1 month ago today! He was 9 days late, 8lbs 12oz and only took 4 1/2 hours of labor!

So far it has been pretty easy taking care of my 2 boys.
Isaac has been a good sleeper, eater and pooper.
His older brother (Luke) loves Isaac and is always wanting to give him kisses! Although, since Luke is only 18 months himself he doesn't quite know how to be gentle. So a little pat on the head sometimes turns into a smack!

I am just so thankful that I get to stay home with two little guys!
I still have been doing video editing work for Jacob, but at least I get to be with my boys! Luke has been wanting to read a lot of books lately so that makes it a little easier for me to get my work done!
With me getting most of the editing work done Jacob has more time to spend with Luke and Isaac.

I'll leave y'all with a little video clip of the work Jacob and I do together.

This is the wedding highlights of Nathan and Ashley, which took place in early June 2011 on the beautiful grounds of Magnolia Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina.
